Monday
Doctrine: I can show my faith in Jesus Christ by following Him. Romans 1:16–17
Scripture
Read Romans 1:17 and have your child highlight the word that occurs three times (faith).

Watch a read-aloud of the children's book God, I Know You're There.
Write "faith" with dots for your child to trace.
Draw some mini footsteps on a paper. Have your child follow the footsteps with their fingers while you repeat the doctrine phrase. Add drawings of how we can follow Jesus.
Tuesday

Scripture
Look away and cover your face to explain the word "ashamed". Then grin, and with hands on your hips, shout "I am NOT ashamed of the gospel of Christ!" Romans 1:16
Activities
Roll up printable scriptures for a mail carrier bringing the epistles to the Saints. Deliver the epistles around the house and read them.
Choose an action to do for each time the word "faith" is sung in I'll Follow Him in Faith.
Follow a trail of items that bring us closer to Jesus in this object lesson.
Wednesday

Scripture
Form a circle and put your hands together for a family cheer based on a phrase from Romans 1:16-17. Example: "Smiths live by what--- Smiths live by what--- Smiths live by faith!"

Activities
Draw faces on plastic spoons and have them follow a picture of Jesus around the house. Have the spoons keep commandments along the way, such as serving others.
Assign each person a voice to read in this story, with pre-readers making sound effects.
Spell faith with your bodies forming the letters.

Make the number eight with pipe cleaners and thread beads or cheerios through them.
