Memorize: "If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15

Song of the Week: Love One Another (CS 136)

  • Cut paper hearts into 2-piece puzzles and scatter across the floor. Mend the broken hearts while singing.

  • Add dynamics using salad tongs. Sing louder as you open the tongs like a crescendo, and sing softer as the tongs gradually close.

  • Have your children take turns picking a heart that has a type of person written on it (brother, mailman, garbage man, teacher, bully, farmer, president, etc). Then sing the song using that name: "As I have loved you, love the mailman..." (Idea from Ann Leete)

Monday

  • Write the doctrine on a paper heart and pin it to your child's shirt.

Thursday

Doctrine: I can be a friend to Jesus Christ by being a good friend to others. John 13:34–35; 14:15; 15:13
